Nuri Sahin to join Real Madrid

Borussia Dortmund have called a press conference for Monday in which the Bundesliga champions will confirm the sale of Nuri Sahin to Real Madrid, according to a German report

Borussia Dortmund will confirm the sale of Nuri Sahin to Real Madrid on Monday, according to German source Ruhr Nachrichten.

The German-born Turkish international has a clause in his contract stipulating that he can leave Signal Iduna Park for €10 million if he moves outwith Germany.

The report states that Sahin, his agent Reza Fazeli and Die Borussian officials will announce the transfer of the player to the Bernabeu at a press conference at the start of next week.

The 22-year-old has been a standout player for the newly crowned Bundesliga champions this campaign, and has been linked with a move away from BVB all season.

Jurgen Klopp's side seem to have been resigned to losing their prize asset, and the purchase of Ilkay Gundogan from Nurnberg is identified as an act to replace the outgoing player.
